Immediate Opening: Manager, Governmental Relations for MML

This is a management level position having responsibility for working, in collaboration with the Director of Governmental Relations, to implement the legislative program of MML. These responsibilities include service as a member of the staff team assigned to the MML Legislative Committee and as one of MML’s legislative advocates before the Maryland General Assembly. Work is performed under the general direction of the Director of Governmental Relations with latitude for independent judgment and action. This work is subject to review according to MML personnel policies through observation, reports and the results achieved.
To be considered for this position, a candidate must have graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in political science or a related field with at least three (3) years’ experience in the fields of either state and local government management or state legislative affairs. An equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience is acceptable. MPA/MPP and/or Law degree is preferred.
